Abstract

A 5-year-old boy presented to the emergency department with a rash after returning from a vacation in Mexico. The rash was on his back, chest, and left arm (Figures). He had no associated pain, pruritis, or fever. Review of systems and medical history revealed nothing except for mild eczema. He had normal vital signs and general physical examination results. Skin examination revealed 2 papulosquamous patches in the lower back at the waist line. Extending from these lesions to the neck were slightly erythematous, flat, linear markings.
