Abstract

Image reconstruction for electrical resistance tomography is an ill-posed and ill-conditioned problem. To enhance the image quality, a regularized method should be applied for the image reconstruction. However, most of the existing algorithms are based on a sensitivity matrix calculated according to each pixel. In this paper, a new extended sensitivity matrix is designed and used for image reconstruction. The extended sensitivity matrix is consisting of a lot of block bases of mixed sizes. An image reconstruction algorithm for electrical resistance tomography based on the extended sensitivity matrix and Landweber iteration is carried out. Simulation results show that the proposed method can provide a good image quality.
