Abstract

In order to compare the image quality and radiation dose between the existing protocol and low dose protocol during CT scan of the sacroiliac joint and investigate its usefulness, the study was divided into a control group and an experimental group.Q uantitative and qualitative evaluations were performed based on the images of each group, and radiation dose evaluation was performed using the dose report. In the quantitative evaluation, the control group and the experimental group showed a statistically significant difference, and in the qualitative evaluation, the image quality of the experimental group was not as good as that of the control group, but it was judged that there was no problem in diagnosing.T he radiation dose evaluation showed a very large dose reduction effect in the experimental group.A lthough there is a deterioration in image quality in low-dose protocol images compared to existing protocols, it was significant in that it was possible to obtain images that could be diagnosed even with significantly lower doses. If the low dose protocol is used in the clinical CT scan of the sacroiliac joint, it is possible to obtain images suitable for diagnosis while significantly reducing the patient s radiation dose, which is considered to be very convenient.
