Abstract

In this paper, a basic methods of image fusion based on infrared and visible light and image processing are designed. Infrared sensors and visible light sensors have their own imaging mechanisms and characteristics, and they also have their own shortcomings. The necessity and feasibility of the integration of the two are presented. In the process of collecting surface images, surface ships are easily affected by various complex marine environments. Factors such as the harsh marine environment and the constantly fluctuating waves will cause some interference to the imaging effect of the ship. Not only that, but the optical device itself may also interfere with the water surface image due to the instability of the shooting equipment. When the above interference information affects the water surface image, the picture quality of the water surface image is degraded, which increases the difficulty for the detection and identification of the ship, which is not conducive to the smooth progress of the identification work. Therefore, it is necessary to process the water surface image collected by the surface ship. In this paper, the image is filtered, enhanced and registered, and the level and basic method of image fusion are described. The subjective and objective methods of image fusion quality evaluation are systematically introduced.
