Abstract

This paper devises an effective image encryption algorithm that exploits a novel hyperchaotic map and is applicable to a variety of image encryption scenarios. The newly designed hyperchaotic map exhibits enhanced ergodicity, more intricate behavior, and a substantial chaotic range, as revealed by performance evaluation. The encryption algorithm under consideration utilizes a newly developed hyperchaotic map in conjunction with fission diffusion and permutation operations. Fission diffusion effectively spreads minor changes throughout the entire image, while permutation operations relocate these changes to various positions within the image. The results of the performance analysis demonstrate that the algorithm exhibits strong resilience against various attack patterns, while also exhibiting high levels of encryption efficiency.
