Abstract

How can we complete massive images with some missing region? In this paper, we present a new image completion algorithm. Our goal is to finish the uncompleted image with missing region more creative and seamless. In other words, we not only complete the missing region semantic valid but also make the completed image more seamless and consistent. We use some innovative methods to deal with the problem and there are two main stages in the paper. The first stage is that we use the distinctive image features from scale-invariant keypoints (SIFT) to search the original image's matching images. The second stage is to complete the missing region with Possion blending and blending optimization. Finally, we demonstrate the superiority of our algorithm through implementing our method to some groups of experimental images.
