Abstract

We propose a spatial frequency bandwidth estimation applied to perform an adaptive picture coding. The local bandwidth estimation is derived from the Bernstein inequality and is used to achieve an adaptive image resampling. The picture is then reconstructed through interpolation and the results compared with those of more usual coding processes.
