Abstract

In the paper the exact number of entries in a large dictionary of Polish (called Słownik warszawski, 1900–1927) is given, following a computer analysis of a list of its entries. Furthermore, the structure of entries is analyzed, using selected qualifiers, and the data compared to those in a more recent large dictionary of Polish, edited by Witold Doroszewski (published 1958–1969).
