Abstract

One of the echocardiographic characteristics of the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome with left-sided anomalous atrioventricular connection is premature anterior displacement of the left ventricular posterior wall shortly after inscription of the delta wave.1-4 Similarly, pacing of the left ventricular posterior wall through a catheter positioned in the coronary sinus has produced a similar echocardiographic pattern.2 Theoretically, an ectopic ventricular rhythm originating in the left ventricular posterior wall should demonstrate a similar pattern of activation as in the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome with a left-sided atrioventricular conduction and, therefore, could have similar echocardiographic findings.
