Abstract

The current paper discusses some specifics in the illuminance meters calibration process. It shows the difference in the illuminance values measured during the calibration and their deviation from the real illuminance values. The paper represents statistical results for the tendency for change of the illuminance values according to the selected light level. Identical illuminance meters from same producers and type are investigated. Statistical analysis is made, based on calibration results of over a hundred illuminance meters by ten different producers - grouped by type and trademark, collected for a period of seven years. Conclusions and recommendations are made about the accuracy and degradation expectation of the investigated types of illuminance meters.
