Abstract
Iliopectineal bursitis is reported to be associated with various hip diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Rapid destruction of the hip joint in rheumatoid arthritis is reported to be associated with various factors, such as infl ammation, osteonecrosis, and steroids. We experienced a rare case of rheumatoid arthritis that presented with rapid destruction of the right hip joint accompanied by iliopectineal bursitis under infl iximab treatment, a description of which is reported here.
