Abstract

The essay intends to focus a on the value of a dual education. Current European Employability Policies are increasingly directed towards work-based learning models in order to counter the persistent increase in youth unemployment and so-called Neet and thus reduce the skills gap in school-work transitions. Furthermore, dual education enhances the advantages of alternating between classroom learning and learning in the company and therefore implies a link between formal, informal and non-formal learning, in correlation with the needs particularly emphasized by the European Union
