Abstract
RATIONALE: Chronic asthmatic inflammation is accompanied by airway remodeling. Increasing number of studies suggest an important role in this process for the fibroblast-myofibroblast differentiation. Our aim was to compare the effects of IL-4 and IL-13 on human lung fibroblasts (HLF) with tracheal (TSM) and bronchial (BSM) smooth muscle preparations.
