Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of organizational climate and competence on the work enthusiasm and performance of Indonesian Navy soldiers. This research also examines and analyzes the effect of organizational climate and competence on performance through work enthusiasm as an intervening variable. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, namely a sampling technique based on certain criteria. The criteria used in this study were Indonesian Navy soldiers, especially those serving at KRI Abdul Halim Perdanakusuma 355 for at least 1 year with a total sample of 123 soldiers. The results of the study show that organizational climate and competence have a positive and significant effect on work enthusiasm and performance of Indonesian Navy soldiers. The results of the mediation test show that organizational climate and competence have a significant effect on the performance of Indonesian Navy soldiers through work enthusiasm as an intervening variable. So that in an effort to improve the performance of Indonesian Navy soldiers, the leadership at KRI Abdul Halim Perdanakusuma 355 needs to pay attention to the organizational climate, competence and morale of Indonesian Navy soldiers.
