Abstract

Paper feeding problems find technical applications in numerous information equipments. For example, copy machine, printer, automatic teller machine and etc.. This paper deals with the features of paper feeding as a form of frictional drives and the two schemes in finite element analysis of paper transport velocity with a pair of a rubber-covered roller and a rigid roller.; One is an incremental theory explaining transitional behaviors of frictional drive from slipping between a rubber covered roller and a paper to stationary tractive rolling step by step of revolution.. The other is a direct solution using by the Galilean transform converting the governing equations of motion to a spatially dependent form, which is applicable to viscoelastic and inertial effects.
