Abstract

Beyond the alarming spread of COVID-19 across the globe and the social distancing measures being put in place by the government authorities all over the world, the sting of the pandemic has had far reaching effects and has found its way into almost every sector of the economy. Businesses are at risk of being wind up, contractual obligations are likely to be breeched if not properly reviewed, terms of contract between employers and employees have become airy-fairy and the atmosphere has become a false dawn for potential investors, stakeholders and growing industries. This article seeks to address the imminent issues that may arise from the impact of the pandemic as it relates to contractual agreements and proffer possible recommendations.
