III Colombian Congress of Electrochemistry of the Colombian Association of ElectrochemistryOctober 2 to 5, 2018, Santiago de Cali University, Cali, ColombiaPrefaceIn the present volume of Journal of Physics: Conference Series we publish the proceedings of the “III Colombian Congress of Electrochemistry (CCEQ), that was held from, October 2-5, 2018, at the Pampalinda headquarters of the Universidad Santiago de Cali (USC), Cali, Colombia. The proceedings consist of 29 contributions that were presented as plenary talks at the event. The abstracts of all participants’ contributions will be published in the Book. The website of the symposium is available at https://sites.google.com/view/cceq2018/principal.The scientific program of the III CCEQ consisted of 7 Plenary Lecture, 6 Magisterial Conferences, 3 Sponsor conferences, 43 Oral and 53 Poster Presentations and 4 Courses with the participation of undergraduate and graduate students, professors, researchers and entrepreneurs from Colombia, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Venezuela. Moreover, the III CCEQ provided a forum of exchange in the research and innovation that enrich the area of electrochemistry and the industrial applications.All papers in these Proceedings refer to one from the following topics: Electrochemistry of Materials (Electrodeposits, Electropolymerization, Nanoelectrochemistry, Semiconductors), Corrosion, Analytical Electrochemistry, Electrochemistry in Mineral Processing and Metals (Extractive Metallurgy), Organic Electrochemistry, Storage and Conversion Electrochemical Energy and Environmental Electrochemistry and Water Treatment involving Electrochemical Nature Phenomena.
