Abstract

Abstract In the summer of 1965, July 1 Commune experienced a fervent revolutionary climate. The broad poor and lower-middle peasants and revolutionary cadres of the various levels all sincerely studied the brilliant works of Chairman Mao 'Where Does the Correct Thinking of the People Come From?" and "The Twenty-Three Points." In preparation for a new upsurge in the Socialist Education Movement in the countryside these works were fervently discussed everywhere. The poor and lower-middle peasants and cadres urgently hoped to seize victory in the Four Cleanups Campaign in the spirit of "The Twenty-Three Points."
