Abstract

Although the dataset of DeStefano et al1 has been cited as proving that vaccination is not related to autism, it actually matches out antigen variation. This is a fact that those familiar with the concept of overmatching can readily perceive.2 The birth years for the study are 1994-1999. In 1996, varicella was added to the vaccine schedule. For children born in 1998, rotavirus was given. In 1997, whole-cell diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTP) vaccine was replaced with diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (DTaP), introducing a huge change in the amount of antigens.
