Abstract

IG I3 4 : construction site Akropolis This article is not a new edition of the so-called Hekatompedon inscription : it merely strives to connect its exceptional nature and its reglementary and penal dispositions with the situation current on the Akropolis in middle 480s. Despite the gaps, this double decree is an eloquent witness to the difficulties of cohabitation between a major construction site and a religious activity, of which it was important to protect its integrity.
