“If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.”

Abstract

Dr Forsyth and colleagues add to the body of literature on type III endoleaks after the placement of the early generation of Endologix Aortofix endovascular stent graft2,3 with their article entitled, Late Type III Endoleaks Are Common in Early Generation Endologix AFX Stent Grafts.4 The authors are to be commended for carefully following (and measuring) their outcomes and reporting them in this issue of the Journal. The article also emphasizes the time course of the development of the endoleaks which is often delayed and shows no sign of abating after 5 years.
