Abstract

Quality of education is becoming important in the world of competitive environment. There is definitely a need to adopt change in the educational processes in order to improve and stay ahead in the business of education. Till date in India, most of the self-financed engineering institutions are considering the performance of top-notch institutions as quality benchmarks and role models in finalising their academic activities. However, they have failed to adopt a strategy to follow a definite quality model. The main purpose of this research paper is to investigate the adoption of integrated educational quality management system (IEQMS) practice to polarise quality education in engineering educational institutions (EEIs) in India from the perspective of a teaching faculty. In this paper, a comprehensive instrument is prepared based on ten critical factors with 113 variables of IEQMS to measure the performance of the institutions. The collected data has been analysed and interpreted by using statistical tools like factor analysis, ANOVA and correlation. Based on this analysis, it is found that the ten critical factors of IEQMS significantly support to achieve quality in EEIs.
