Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a wireless application under developing for communication between people and objects, which means that people or objects can communicate and get information from each other. The IoT is an evolution in operation and communication for human beings and objects, and this new technology of communication needs the integration of many techniques in engineering. For example, the IoT applications can be deployed from nano technology to wireless network provisioning in a city. One of the most popular standards for IOTs is the ZigBee, which defines the network and application layers in the basis of the PHY and MAC layers specified by the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. ZigBee is suitable for the IoT and green ICT applications by the characteristics of low data rate, low power consumption, low cost and low complexity. In this thesis, the main goal is to design a font-end for the IEEE 802.15.4 system with low power consumption. A low-noise amplifier and a power amplifier were implemented to achieve this goal with power consumption of 11.1 mW and 192.9 mW, respectively.
