Abstract

Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a well-established entity with increased intracranial pressure of unknown etiology. However, physicians are less aware of drug induced hypertension. Some of the commonly used medications in dermatology, especially those for acne vulgaris, have been associated with IIH. To our knowledge, only two cases of IIH reported in the literature have been associated with mesalasine treatment, which is a product of 5 aminosalicylate (5 ASA).
