42 JAEPL, Vol. 11, Winter 2005–2006, 42-51 Sue Hum is Assistant Professor of English at University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research and teaching interests include composition theory and pedagogy, modern rhetorical theory, multicultural and contrastive rhetoric, cultural studies and popular culture, and post-colonial gender theories. Drawing on her experiences as a Malaysian Chinese teaching in American institutions, Hum’s recent publications focus on the intersections among identity politics, materiality, and composition theory; she has published in JAC: Journal of Advanced Composition, Style, Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, and Readerly/Writerly Texts.
