Abstract

Background: As the global burden of NCDs grows, African countries are not spared. This rising incidence of diabetes and hypertension is especially important in Low- and Middle-Income Countries like Nigeria as their poor population can hardly afford the medications for these conditions. Coupled with the fact that people living with diabetes are at a greater risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), it is necessary to monitor blood pressure of people with the double burden of diabetes and hypertension.
