Abstract

Background: Majority of persons living with diabetes (PLD) reside in LMIC with the largest rise in prevalence predicted to occur in SSA by 2030. Self-management education may improve self-care behaviours ultimately cumulating into better care outcomes. A structured education program allows standardisation.
