Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the global population clinically, physically, and mentally making it a worldwide healthcare disaster. The pediatric population’s experience during this time has been difficult and distressing due to strict governmental measures and lockdowns that minimized their social interactions drastically. Vulnerable children with complications, such as Type 1 diabetes (T1D), have been undergoing negative psychosocial and health consequences that pose a severe threat on their diabetes management and outcomes.
