Abstract

This paper examines the way of inquiry of socio-political phenomena developed by the Frankfurt School. The endeavour of Frankfurt School has been recognized as ‘critical theory’ which emphasizes on the epistemological and methodological critique of positivism, a critical attitude towards the ideological influences of science and technology as a major factor in the creation of a new technocratic-bureaucratic form of domination. The work of Frankfurt School was the joint endeavour of Adorna, Horkheimer, Marcuse and Habermas.
