Abstract
Contradictions between the social functions of ideology phenomenon are regarded. Conception of ideology as the system of axiological orientations within separate social groups or society in toto, providing its cultural identity and reproducibility, is proposed. The legal content of the principle of political pluralism, its constitutional scope and ideological principles of consolidation of political nation in Ukraine are analyzed on the basis of the Constitutions of Ukraine and post-socialist states.
