Abstract

The peculiarities of the functioning of the ideologue “brotherly people” in the journalistic discourse of the Ukrainian and Georgian­South Ossetian conflicts are presented with the help of numerous examples of publications of the Russian media. The method of critical discourse analysis is used. It shows the uniqueness of the functioning of this ideologue in the texts of the Russian media on conflict issues and personal blogs of journalists is marked out. The differences in the use of ideologue in the two armed conflicts resulting from historical, ethno­religious and political factors have been identified and described.
