Abstract

AbstractThe history of “identity”, a relatively new concept that was “lost” almost as soon as it was “discovered”, is reviewed. The dangerously pathological features of historical, ascribed identity, and the fact that identities fail to identity, are emphasized. Fluid, futures-oriented identities are preferred.KeywordsBecomingBeingFuture shockFutures Homosapiens HumanIdentityImmigrantsNation Ningen Postmodern
