Abstract

The present article is devoted to empirical/statistical methods of identifying duplicates in a collection of texts (lists) containing a time scale. We give examples of the application of these.methods to texts on ancient and medieval history. Duplicates are defined as texts (fragments) that are dependent in the framework of the statistical model being used. Thus we have in mind "statistical duplicates" (the substantive interpretation of them is a separate question, cf. [3]). The results obtained in this article are a continuation of studies in the construction of an "optimal statistical chronology" begun by A. T. Fomenko in a series of publications
