Abstract

This study is conducted with the aim of identifying and ranking the effective parameters of climate conditions changeand their impacts on the progress of civil projects. Accordingly, this research is an applied and descriptive study in term of objective as well as method and nature, respectively. The statistical population of this research is consisted of all engineers and contractors of civil projects in Alborz Province. Random sampling method was used for sampling and according to Morgan’s Table, asample 140 persons was selected. In addition, 180 questionnaires were distributed and 150 questionnaires were returned. For data collection, a self-administered questionnairedesigned with 47 questions and 5-point Likert scale, was employed.The content validity of the questionnaire,its structure, andits reliability were assessed with the approval of academic and industrial experts, according to the confirmatory factorial analysis method and by calculating the Cronbach's alpha ( ), respectively.Statistical inference methods ( Confirmatory factor analysis , Pearson’s correlation, regression and Friedman test) were used for data analysis. The research results showthat badclimate conditions can result in the reduction of equipment and machineryproductivity, reduction in safety and hygiene, reductionin the productivity of equipment and machinery, deviation from the project schedule, increase in the construction time, decreased efficacy in Qatar trades in the form of formatting, plaster and ceramics, decrease in the compressive strength and quality of concrete, height of foundation and quality of painting.
