Abstract

Nowdays, teak plantation using superior clone is very common, not only in state forest but also ini community forest. The damage of plant in early of its growth give big impact on its persistance of life and continuity of growth. This research aims to identify types of damage and to quantify Damage Incidence (DI) and Damage Severity (DS) of teak stands 5 years old in community forest. This research was conducted on teak superior clone stands at community forest in Gunungkidul, since September to November 2020. This research was carried out at 3 stands in different location, using square plot 20 x 20 m which each stand was representatived by 3 plots. Observation was focused at stem, using scoring methode. The results show that there were 3 types of damage at those stands such as termites, liana, and open wound. Lower stem damaged by termites (DI= 97,2-100% and DS= 51-62,4%) was higher than the upper stem (DI= 4,4-17% and DS= 1,3-6,5%). Liana was only founded at lower stem (DI= 1,5-22,6% and DS= 0,9-11%). Lower stem damaged by open wound (DI= 2,2%-5,1% and DS= 1,2%-2,3%) was higher than upper stem (DI ≤ 1,6% dan DS ≤ 1,1%). Key words: Community Forest; Clone, Damage; Scoring; Teak (Tectona grandis)
