Abstract

AbstractIn the proceeding, we show the transverse momentum (pT) spectra of identified charged particles such as pion and kaon in Pb + Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV using Tsallis distribution function. The power law of Tsallis/Hagedorn distribution function gives very good description of the hadron spectra in pT range from 0.2 to 300 GeV/c in p + p collisions. Here, we use Tsallis distribution function as a fitting function to the data of invariant yield versus pT of pion and kaon at various centralities in Pb + Pb collisions. These published data are taken from ALICE collaboration at mid-rapidity region. The Tsallis parameter T governs the soft bulk contribution to the spectra, and the parameter q shows the nonthermalization of the system. The data/fit shows deviations of the data from the Tsallis distribution. The parameters of such fittings are studied as a function of centralities.
