Abstract

A new interactive identification protocol is presented based on the quadratic residue (QR), which has low computational and communication overheads and only requires a small amount of memory in which to store the secret information. In comparison with another scheme based on the QR, the new scheme achieves the same security level, but is simpler and more efficient.
