Abstract

This paper introduces a model-based predictive-control strategy that improves identifiability of the process under closed-loop operation. With this strategy in action there is no loss of identifiability when the only signal exciting the loop is a stochastic load disturbance. The main novelty in this work is the usage of a pseudo multi-rate control action. In essence the system alternates between open-loop and closed-loop operation at every sampling time.
