Abstract
Identification of Unique Volatile Compounds of Aspergillus fumigatus for Potential Diagnostic Breath Test by HS-SPME and GC-MS The 13/14C-urea breath test has been used in the diagnosis of gastric helicobacter pylori. The use of breath tests for diagnosis has been applied over the last 20 years. However, its applicability for diagnosis of pulmonary fungus infection was less studied. In this study, Aspergillus fumigatus-specific volatile compounds were qualitatively analyzed by headspace solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS).
