Abstract

In recent years, both developed and developing nations, including India, have become extremely interested in the concept of smart cities. With the advancement of electronics and communication technologies like the Internet of Things, the idea of a “smart city” now seems to be feasible (10 T). loT research is actively being conducted to improve the dependability and efficiency of urban infrastructure. loT is employed to deal with issues like traffic jams, a lack of parking spaces, and road safety. This objective of this research is to is to make efficient use ofparking spaces especially in metropolitan cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. Using an Arduino Uno and various types of sensors, the smart car parking system has been designed and developed in this paper. The suggested smart parking system uses an on-site loT module to detect and find the availability of parking place via mobile applications. The loT module that is deployed on-site as part of the proposed smart parking system is used to track and signal the availability of parking space via mobile applications. Here, keep track of open parking spaces and assign those to users. If one is available near the user's location, it displays it. It eases traffic congestion on roadways, in shopping malls, and in multi-store buildings because parking places are few. Users of Mobile Telnet can also check the availability of parking spaces and reserve a spot in accordance.
