Abstract

In this paper we deal with the identification of bilinear multivariable discrete time systems. Due to the fact that complexity in the input-output description of the general bilinear system increases enormously with increase in the order of the system, a special class of bilinear systems is proposed in this paper. For this class of systems the input-output description is obtained, which turns out to be input-output bilinear. In addition, the procedure is described for structure determination and parameter estimation of input-output bilinear system based upon the estimates of auto- and crosscorrelation functions of the input and output sequences. The procedure is applied to real data (grain drying process by column - type grain dryer).
