Abstract
Abstract (+)-Hydroxyputrescine (1,4-diaminobutan-2-ol) has been isolated and identified from a Pseudomonas species and shown to be biosynthesized from putrescine. The total polyamine content (putrescine and hydroxyputrescine) is in dependent of the growth media but the content of hydroxyputrescine is reduced when putrescine is present in the medium.
