Abstract
The article discusses one of the goods coding types, i.e. the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), and its use for identification for customs purposes. A study was conducted to identify product samples using the GTIN. Based on the study, conclusions about the efficiency of the Global Trade Item Number for identification for customs purposes were drawn.
