Abstract

An acid phosphatase variant has been identified in a semen stain located in a sexual assault case. The questioned SAP samples migrated ahead of the standard SAP samples on an electrophoretic plate. A piece of the evidence stain was then subjected to the Ouchterlony double diffusion technique, using anti-P30, and the stain was confirmed as seminal material.
