Abstract

Two pronounced upland erosion surfaces are present in eastern and southern Ohio. Below these surfaces strath valleys and strath terraces are found.2 In identifying and correlating these surfaces with other well-known surfaces, the strath stage has been neglected by previous workers. A correlation is proposed which accounts for all the erosion surfaces in this area and correlates them with other well-known Appalachian surfaces.
