Abstract

It is important for many engineering applications to identify the structural dynamic load. In this paper, a method based on strain responses was presented to identify structural dynamic load. Firstly, the relationship between displacement and strain was established by the KO displacement theory. And, Green’s function was employed to establish the model of dynamic load identification in the time domain. Then, singular value decomposition (SVD) and the Tikhonov regularization method were adopted to analyze and overcome the ill-posed problem of load identification. Finally, the proposed method is verified on a cantilever beam model and good results are obtained. The results of this paper illustrate that the proposed method is effective for structural dynamic load identification.
