Abstract
SummaryEndogenous cytokinins at different stages of leaf development were determined in Citrus sinensis using Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, HPLC, GC-MS and bioassays. Cytokinin active fractions corresponding to ribosyl zeatin, isopentenyl adenine and cyto- kinin ribotides were present in all developmental stages studied and also to the glycosides of ribosyl zeatin and zeatin in mature leaves. The identity of ribosyl zeatin was confirmed by the use of HPLC and GC-MS.
