Abstract

Fear and anxiety are important for adaptive behaviors, but are also core symptoms of many neuropsychiatric disorders. Additionally, epigenetic mechanisms have been implicated in the development of such disorders. We detected a novel blood methylomic profile associated with variation in innate fear responses, potentially influenced by exposure to environmental trauma.
