Abstract
A virus recovered in murine tissue cultures from the salivary glands of <i>Microtus arvalis </i>specimens, with cytomegalic inclusions in the duct cells, has been identified as a murine cytomegalovirus, distinct from the previously isolated Smith and Raynaud strains.
