Abstract

idefo has been used to structure projects. This paper examines the adequacy of idefo as a project plan modelling tool for project risk assessment, which is an important step in a successful project. The descriptive power of idefo is tested in a number of project situations. The results show that idefo is severely inadequate. The paper explains the inadequacy and suggests modifications and enhancements to improve idefo's descriptive power so that it can be useful as a project plan modelling tool for project risk assessment.
